Went here for an inspection because my check engine light was on and I saw evidence of rodents under the hood. My car was giving a ton of fault codes that were all voltage related, and I thought it could have been wiring damage from rodents. They were aware that this was the reason I needed an inspection. They did the $200 inspection and then told me I needed a new battery and I needed to replace the entire intake manifold, among some other basic maintenance I could benefit from, quoting me at over $2500. On the advice of close mechanics friends and my own intuition, I said thanks for the inspection and picked up the car. They told me they did not inspect all the wiring, which was disappointing given that was what I brought the car in for specifically, and wish they had informed me they did not plan to do so before I agreed on the inspection. I then took the car to another mechanic I've worked with before who almost immediately found that a sensor was disconnected. He reconnected the sensor, and all fault codes went away. It seems ridiculous to me that this reputable mechanic did a "full inspection" and did not find that there was a sensor disconnected and instead tried to get over $2500 for me to replace the intake manifold which wouldn't have solved the very simple issue anyway.
