5 stars. We strongly recommend Minh’s Automotive. We’ve been taking our car to Minh’s Automotive for a long time now. After years of hit or miss work with NY mechanics, we are grateful to have discovered Minh’s. They bring the same level of excellence and care to our late model, family car that they do to high end, luxury vehicles. Finding parts for our car is difficult and Nick and Vinnie have always been able to locate whatever is needed and install it at a fair price and usually faster than they estimate. They always take the time to explain in detail what is needed, giving a printout of the estimate with photos of the areas and parts to be worked on. The mechanics at Minh’s are talented, efficient, and offer superior customer service.

I am keeping my post up but adding this to it - I have been bringing my Toyota to Minhs for over8 years and there is no other mechanic I trust with this old workhorse. When I'm out of town, I do band aids if needed to get it back to the boys in Brooklyn. Trust them! They are the real deal. A year ago I wrote: In 2008, I returned to NYC from NC in my old '98 Camry. It was puttering and stuttering as we pulled into town. The Toyota dealer said time for a new car - this one was done. Not ready to part with this old pal, a friend recommended MIHNS. 6.5 years and 86,000 miles later, my Camry is still going strong. yes, we've rebuilt a few things along the way; the usual suspects of shocks and struts, a battery, the alternator. But these excellent mechanics have kept us going - I drive to Detroit (where I hail from) on just over a tank of gas; I drive two major trips a year and countless runs around NYC (when I've got this baby, why bike?). They are without a doubt, the best mechanics I've ever come across (the car has lived in three states). They are fast, reliable, fair. We only fix the necessary, not the cosmetic. The prices are more than competitive. In this day and age of never-ending recalls, there's something to be said for about the guys that have kept this car alive and in fabulous shape - we're headed towards 250,000 miles before we will actually evaluate letting it go. With MIHNS, I know I'll get there. Thank you, guys, for being such a great team!

I have been using Minhs for over 5 years now between two cars. I had a 1991 Toyota Landcruiser that is still running at 210k miles because of their great service and I have had no issues with my now 2007 Acura RDX by taking it in for regular maintenance. Professional and trustworthy.

MINH'S is first rate! My experience with them has been unprecedented. A few months back I took my Bug to the volkswagen dealership in bay ridge to get my driver's side car window motor replaced and an oil change. They call me the next day with an estimate and they tell me I need a whole new transmission in addition to a slew of other very costly repairs. Making an estimate I thought would be around $500, to $3000! 😵 I needed a second opinion because the dealership was clearly trying to extort me which is when I went online and read all the great reviews of MINH'S and gave them a call. I was initially looking for a mechanic that could beat the price of the repairs volkswagen said I needed. But long story short, my main man Vinny said he couldn't find any evidence of my transmission going, other than spilled oil on the outside of the engine. Once it was clean, there still was no evidence of my transmission dying. That alone saved me over $1000!! That ordeal is enough for MINH'S to have won my patronage for life, but they are great about communicating the details of the repairs they find that need to be done immediately and what can wait. Which is sincerely appreciated for someone like me on a budget. They also send detailed email estimates including photos, and if you don't respond to the email by a certain time, they give you a call. As I said, they are first rate!

Awesome shop! They installed APR stage 1 on my GTI and a catback exhaust. The were quick, reasonable and washed my car to boot!

I have been going to MINHS for the past 4 years, mostly for oil changes and occasionally for more serious work. This past week, I had a pleasant experience that really compelled me to finally write a review. I had brought my car into the shop after experiencing recurring cylinder mis-fires and left it with them to diagnose and repair. It became apparent that the mis-fires would only occur when the car was left outside in rain. The shop couldn't diagnose the problem fully during the first rainy day they had it, and then it didn't rain again for the next 3 weeks. (Dousing the car with a hose didn't work, either). Anyway, after 3 weeks, they finally recommended I pick the car up and bring it back if the problem arose again. That is to say - they did not make up some problem and pitch it as a possible fix; they just told me the truth. They didn't ask for a cent for the diagnostic work, either. Moreover, when I got the car, there was a bit of noise coming from under the hood. Jason came out and helpfully examined the problem with me before repairing the issue (a belt had come off its track). His work on the belt took about 30 minutes altogether, but Jason refused to take any payment for his help. In short, MINHS is professional and does a great job. There's a reason why they are always busy over there. I'll be going back!

MINHS has been working on my car for 5 years now and I can't imagine taking it anywhere else. The staff is friendly and the customer service they provide is incredible. I highly recommend!

This is the go to place for repairing your BMW. I have been taking my 325xi here for years and they never disappoint me. They're straight sharp shooters and always on point. A+++++ The Best In Brooklyn Hands Down!
