So I've got this mini Cooper convertible. Her name's Morgan. She's like a little puppy that (sometimes) growls at other cars, while scampering through traffic. I got her new in '09- never did anything major, never needed to. So I decided I wanted to have a good once over done. There's nothing specifically wrong, but she is 7 years old. That's like 62 in car years or something. So I drop my baby off one day. By the end of the day, I had an email with diagnostic info, including pictures, and recommendations for things that might need fixing. James- the supervisor I've between chatting with during all this; calls me up and goes over the whole report. Line by line. As well as highlighting what needed immediate attention, versus preventative stuff. Seriously thorough. So we do a bunch of stuff. Immediate and preventative. All of it took a solid work week. I pick her up, she's driving great. I don't drive often, so a week later I noticed a sputter that wasn't going away. So I bring Morgan back in and we find out there's a cylinder misfire, because one of my ignition coils gave out. It wasn't something that came up the first time. Just coincidental wear and tear on 7 year old coils. Again- pictures, thorough conversations, and it only took a few hours to fix. Still they kept Morgan overnight to check some things out, just to be safe. I've got my baby back, and she drives like new. It's bananas how much better. Antonio Bananas, yo. More than that- I've got an idea of what things are wearing down, and what to pay attention to over the next few months. These guys took all of the hassle, and the confusing unknowns- out of what is usually a very confusing and annoying process. Now Morgan and I are gonna go find some winding mountain roads to growl at. A well deserved five stars for these dudes.
