I had a very poor experience with this rip-off artist. He replaced my alternator with a rebuilt job that lasted all of 80 miles. He did say "I'm sorry you had that experience". but no furthwer repairs, and no money back. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Richard, Our records show we’ve changed your alternator in 2010 and there was no return visit for warranty work. I’m sorry our management at the time did not resolve issues to your satisfaction. Although you’re no longer a customer, I still would like bury the hatchet and bring some peace to your day so please give us a call. Thank you.

I write this review, not with malice... but to warn car owners out there. This shop is not reputable and not trustworthy. It looks like the ideal import mechanic specialist, but they will bleed you dry. I was having problems with one of my bearings and drove the care into the garage to get it looked at. My mistake... never drive your car into the garage, because before I knew it, the tech/owner told me that my ignition cylinder (the lock) was broken and the key wouldn't go in. Now my car is in their show with all of the windows open and no way to drive it out. They start pressuring me that I have to clear out the bay and that the repair will cost $500+ dollars for the new hardware and to re-code my key. I never had any problems with my key... they clearly jammed something into the lock and sabotaged my car. I ended up pushing my car out of the garage and calling a tow truck to take me to my normal mechanic. So much for trying a new outfit. Again, beware and read the reviews well. MINHS mechanics are crooks.

Jonathan, Please Google Ford ignition cylinder class action lawsuit. There is a defect in the design of the cylinder for Ford Focus models 2000-2003. The key may not turn the cylinder anymore to start the car from the minute you step out to pump gas or walk into a store. You will find many other car owners in a similar situation as you, only it failed on the owner and they had no one to blame for it. I’m sorry it failed when it was parked at our shop and your only logical reasoning is the mechanics sabotaged your car. It’s understandable for you to feel that way since we have no prior business relationship. Take care.

I have been going to MINHS auto automotive for 6 to 7 years I cannot recommend them highly enough. The entire team is on point. Vinny or Mike always take the time to give me a clear complete breakdown of the items that need to be repaired in addition to makeing me aware of upcoming maintenance so I can budget accordingly. Everything they do and have done has been documented for a number of the vehicles that I've taken to them. They are always my first recommendation when ever anyone asks me for a mechanic .

I've had 2 used BMW X5 vehicles. I've been taking my car to MINHS for 3 years for regular maintenance and repair and they have alway taken the time to explain everything that I need to keep my car in great condition. The guys there are super helpful and respectful. They help me keep my BMW up and running great. Thanks!

After years of going here, I stopped for a while due to what I perceived as a sudden decline in service. BUT. I recently risked coming back, and it was even better than it was back in the day. Just as courteous, prompt, honest and thorough, and even more on the ball. I'm back in their fan club!

Picked up my Mini Cooper S this morning, it runs just like new! Just an amazing experience. My service adviser has been keeping me updated while my Mini Cooper S was in repair. They tell you exactly what your car is needing at the moment of the diagnosis and what could potential wait until a later visit. This is what I am looking for when going to a mechanic! They took the time to explain everything that was being done on the car and they promptly answered my numerous emails when asking for more details. After a terrible experience at Mini Of Manhattan, I'm staying with MINHS Automotive! My adviser's name is "John" and I totally recommend him if you need service on your car. David

These guys are crooks. We have been taking our car for years and every time we had a different issue. We paid $850 for a new starter and battery change and the car died again 2 weeks later. We were promised they would cover the tow truck ($150 from Long Island) but then said the employee (Michael) who promised the refund had been fired and we would not get reimbursed. When we got home we realized the GPS, cell phone chargers, GPS holders and a few other minor things had been stolen. We then called Minhs again, they requested a detailed list of the lost items with values and then said they couldn't do anything for us. Stay away from this place. There must be an honest shop in New York elsewhere.

Eduardo, We appreciate your business over the years so we did your last repair pro bono since you were just in recently. We’re confused to why you said we didn’t reimburse you for the tow when the check we handed you is already cashed. I’m sorry we had no way of proving that your car was towed in without a cell phone inside it and this cost us our business relationship. Best of luck.

A great, great shop -- everyone I've talked to here over the years is very knowledgable, professional, and easy to talk to. They have earned my trust repeatedly. First rate. Five stars.

Hands down, the best auto repair shop experience ever. First off, super nice people there, personable, competent and without the usual "I am an expert" arrogance. After I had dropped off my Audi, they sent me a courtesy check up report and broke down must have fixes and nice to haves. Frankly, it was way more expensive than I had expected and thus, I had them only address the must haves (which obviously included fixing the issue I came for in the first place). When I picked up the car, John walked me through what they had done and gave me a freshly cleaned (yes, interior and exterior) car back. Next day I got a follow up call and they asked me whether everything was fine (which it was). My only caveat would be that I feel the prices are a bit on the top end of things - which you would expect from an operation like this - but which I might not always be able to afford. This said, with a serious or complex issue, I would only come here from now on forward.

I've been taking my 2008 Audi to MINHS for 3 years now. This review is way overdue. I usually see Vinny or Michael, but all the guys are great here. I moved to NY and after my warranty expired with Audi, I took a chance and brought my car to MINHS after reading reviews about their service on European cars in particular. I love my car and it is spotless - even Vinny commented on our first meeting how the car was in meticulous form, inside out. So I'd like to keep it that way. You can trust these guys 110%. I'm a girl and do not feel intimidated bringing my car here instead of an Audi dealer. You will pay double for a synthetic oil change at Audi. From a tyre and oil change to yearly inspections and everything in between, MINHS is the best, clean garage in Brooklyn - not dodgy at all. The prices are actually quite low - I paid half to replace an original Audi tyre than I would at the dealer - thank you, BQE potholes. Go to MINHS, ditch the dealer!
