Took a road trip with my 2014 BMW F30 and on the way back, engine started knocking and car was shaking violently. Just barely made it back when car started shutting down and indicating "drivetrain misfire". Initially took it to a AAA mechanic near the Lincoln Tunnel who suggested that it was "maybe" my alternator and perhaps some other things as well, but that they couldn't be sure until they fixed the alternator first. Needless to say, this was completely false and be warned: never take your car to that particular place. Ever. Decided to take the vehicle to MINHS because they were highly rated and specialize in European cars. It took them about a day or so to run diagnostics and realize that it was one of my fuel injectors, which are a problem with this model and year of BMWs. Decided to change all 4 as a precaution, as well as all 4 sparkplugs. Price was fair considering the parts and labor, and was far cheaper than what BMW would have charged, let alone that other shop that I initially took it to. Would recommend, and will take the vehicle here for service maintenance in the future as well.
